SWFMania started off as a showcase for ‘Nutters Inc.’ and Ross’ Flash Games and after a few weeks it developed a little more and we had a forum, but it was very seldom used. The site looked out of date, but we didn’t know how to modernise it, until Din found Wordpress.

Around the time of our first birthday (September ‘06) we added blogs and a podcast to the site, as well as Din giving the front page a much needed face lift. In March ‘07 Ross & Matt re-designed the entire site from scratch, again using Wordpress, to how it looks today. April ‘07 saw the mark of our first advert, which was taken out on the PHW forums.

As of June 2008, we are embarking on our most ambitious project to date. We are starting work on a major overhaul on the site, with new forums, the reintroduction of the podcast series which will debut in July, a new comic series and the refurbishment the reviews section. We are also looking to take out some more advertisements in the future, to increase our regular membership.

At present SWFMania is currently receiving around 2500 visits a month (700 unique), which works out at about 83 visits per day. Surprisingly enough, being a British site, we are viewed mostly by Americans, who make up 67% of the viewing population.
